Walden Natural Perfumes
Made from only the finest natural absolutes, resins and essential oils, Walden Perfumes are named after Henry David Thoreau’s seminal work "Walden". The book, part meditation, part handbook for simple living in harmony with nature, was written by Thoreau while living in Walden forest for two years. It has inspired countless readers since its publication two centuries ago and its central lessons of self-sufficiency and anti-materialism still resonate today.
All the Walden perfumes are named after snippets from the book. They are handmade in small batches from 100% natural ingredients and are a throwback to the heyday of perfumery before the advent of cheap synthetic substitutes. Walden is proud to continue the traditions of high perfumery, when master perfumers blended the finest natural ingredients into fragrant masterpieces. When the price of their creations reflected the cost of the ingredients and not the overhead of the armies of sprayers positioned in every airport duty-free or the celebrities shilling the mass produced chemical cocktails that pass for perfumes there.
