Brasscake jewellery
Inspired by ancient cultures and modern forms, BRASSCAKE (brass cake) is a small collection created from handmade jewelry by Eva-Maria Mataruga. With sustainability and slow fashion in mind, each piece is created in the studio in Germany, upon order to avoid extra stock. This can reduce waste and promote conscious consumption. Brass is a recyclable material and is therefore sustainable. The collection is based on a love for all things, wabi-Sabi (Japanese concept of perception of beauty), earthy and natural. Brass forms a beautiful patina over time, reminding us of the beauty of imperfection and that of aging.
