Not all, but many textile companies have a significant ecological footprint. Seas and oceans are polluted by plastic microfibers as a result. In this industry, workers often work in miserable and unsafe conditions. It is time for change, change to which be the fibre want to contribute.
Be the fibre is an initiative of World Missionary Aid. Our organization went looking for external partners to evolve from a linear operation to circularity. The quality collected clothing is still sold, but the remaining part is now fiberized and processed into new items and accessories. In our offer, we also include other circular products made from bamboo and marine waste, among others.
Be the fibre was born out of an internal drive to do business in a creative and above all socially responsible way and to give something back to society and our planet. Be the fibre is switching from linear operation to a circular approach with a clear vision: employ people in a sustainable way, create circular products and finance as many sustainable development projects as possible with the proceeds.
Be the fibre is located in Antwerp - Belgium.
Do you have clothes at home that are completely worn out and so you can't wear them anymore? Bring them to our store, thanks to be the fiber they get a second life.
